SUMMARY
A survey of a representative range of visitors to Jersey to inform Visit Jersey’s strategy for marketing to off-island visitors:
Each year Island Global Research fieldworkers surveyed visitors departing Jersey. The surveys took place at the harbour and airport, as well a selected number of surveys conducted with cruise ship passengers and visiting yachts-people.
The survey aimed to ascertain information relating to visitors’ stay whilst in the Island, together with their overall spending patterns. The extensive schedule of in-person data collection was designed and closely monitored to enable the collection of as representative a range of data as possible.
The survey responses were input electronically and uploaded to us by our team of trained fieldworkers. The data was subject to quality checks and provided to Visit Jersey for further analysis.
