SUMMARY
An independent survey to gain insights into customer attitudes, informing the roll out of a new programme of work:
1090 residents participated in a survey for Manx Utilities about their use and perceptions of smart meters. The survey also enquired about customers’ wider views on Manx Utilities and the environment.
The survey was conducted to understand views while the programme to install smart meters in the Isle of Man was still at an early stage. The results informed the approach taken to the roll out, including communication around the changes. The survey was also designed to enable benchmarking, to see how attitudes changed following customer engagement if desired.
Following the production of a report we worked with Manx Utilities to design an infographic telling the story of the results, helping to demonstrate to respondents that they are being listened to.
