SUMMARY

Insights into how more people could be encouraged to visit Jersey Heritage sites, including Jersey Museum.

The findings enabled decisions to be made to help ensure that access to Jersey Museum, Art Gallery and Victorian House is as equitable as possible, especially amongst groups considered less likely to visit. The extent to which different population groups found cost was a barrier to visiting Jersey Museum was a core component of the research. It also highlighted other areas of potential change that could improve the visitor experience at all sites and encourage more people to attend.

945 Jersey residents took part in an online survey that covered which Jersey Heritage sites they had visited in the past 12 months; motivations and barriers to visiting amongst different groups of the population; views on Membership of Jersey Heritage; and satisfaction with the respondents’ most recent visit to one of the main heritage sites.
