SUMMARY
A suite of research to enable the Isle of Man Post Office to best meet the needs of retail and business customers, and better understand the impact of strategic decisions.
3,717 residents took part in a survey on a range of topics related to postal services. The survey was primarily conducted online, with the option to participate via paper form or telephone interview advertised via a mail drop and at Post Office counters.
A phased approach was taken to the research with commercial customers and businesses operating in the Isle of Man. The research sought to understand how businesses view the Isle of Man Post Office, satisfaction with services, preferences for sending mail and views on if the Isle of Man Post Office could support their business in fulfilling its environmental or sustainability objectives. A short 5 minute questionnaire was developed and used to recruit a wide range of businesses for a small number of follow up interviews. The qualitative interviews were semi-structured, with a topic guide to provide overall structure. Each interview was tailored to the participant and took into account which topics were relevant to discuss, depending on the nature of the business of types of services they used.
