Insights to inform the development of a new Arts Strategy for Guernsey.

729 residents took part in a survey undertaken on behalf of the Arts Strategy Working Group, in liaison with The Guernsey Community Foundation. The objective of the survey was to gain insights into the arts (including music and culture) in Guernsey, including residents’ interest, participation and attendance, any barriers to access, and views on future priorities.

Survey weights were applied to ensure the findings are representative of Guernsey’s adult population by age and gender. We analysed the data to provide results for the adult population as a whole and for selected sub-groups, to highlight where there are differences by gender, age group, level of education, employment status, household composition, and household income. Some questions also explored differences in the nature of their involvement, focusing on whether they create, teach or volunteer.
